Roll up, roll up, it’s election circus time

10th October 2023

Roll up, roll up, it’s election circus time and the Major Party Leaders have been acting like clowns, competing to grow the economy, get tough on crime, and fill potholes while our world burns. But they’re away for tonight’s performance. How will the Minor Party leaders perform? Who will be brave enough to crack the whip and help save our future?

Today from 5.30pm, supporters of Restore Passenger Rail will assemble outside the Christchurch Town Hall at 86 Kilmore St, Christchurch Central, to join in the election circus.

“With the Major Party Leaders away, who will be ringmaster / kingmaker tonight?” asks Restore Passenger Rail Supporters.

“Business as Usual is taking us to 3-4 degrees celsius of heating, which will result in the collapse of our civilisation — and economy.

“It will take courage to make the transformational changes needed to bring emissions down and give us a shot at the future. Of the Minor Parties, who will be brave enough to crack the whip?”

Roll up, roll up to join the circus!

We have:

More clowns! To provide voters with more options.

Cartwheeling to bring about a circular economy.

Juggling to juggle the figures on the climate budget! So that we can tell everyone gross emissions have gone down while net emissions have gone up!

Face painting to greenwash our appearance while continuing to lead our people to climate breakdown and collapse of our society and economy.
